Yeah the yearlings had a day out of there pens and into the arena.
They had ssssssoooo much fun they ran around and kicked up there heels!
<<<<>>>> unfortunately the way they got there was that Reepicheep seemed to be cholic ing so we turned them loose and around 3 hours later Reep is doing MUCH MUCH better YEAH and YAHOO!!!!
All 3 horses will now cross over the bridge and are doing GREAT !!!!

Mohican,Scarlette,Johnny,and Reepicheep are all getting a few days off due to their EXCELLENT progress.We will start working them Tomorrow (Wednesday.)We hope they enjoyed their rest.

I don't know who was more scared, James or Traveller. Once James got on, he waited for Traveller to exhale then called it a day. If you can't tell, he wasn't planning on getting on him today. Notice the shorts. He did very good and James is well pleased. After all, it is about the Horse not the Human.

Kelly saddled Alanza on Friday. What a great job they are doing. Alanza has come a long way. Alanza used to try to defend herself by trying to kick the stuffing out of anyone in her space. Now, she wants her lovin'. Kelly and her are doing great together. Kelly has even gotten Alanza to jump straw bales.

O.K folks here is an update.
Joe:Mohican :Joe was able to trailer Mohican to another ranch about 30 miles away and Mohican has been out on about 7 trips now. So Keep on Praying.

Lanette:Scarlett Belle :Lanette has taken Scarlett on several ltrips outside the pen ,is doing really doing well with her tail being brushed, and Lanette is using a hoofpick with Scarlett.

Laurie:JohnnyBoy :Laurie can pick up front feet, and Johnny weres a saddle blanket.
(P.S If anyone has a remody for warts on horses please let us know Thanks in advance.)

Krystle:Reepicheep :Krystle can brush Mane,tail,forlock of Reep, and He now weres a barebackpad sinched up YEAH!!!!

Joe Misner has saddled,ridden,trotted,and galloped Mohican.
I have bathed him at the hitcen post He LOVES to get a bath.

Lanette Misner has saddled Scarlett Belle, and does a few tricks with her.
Scarlett Belle Loves to be pet by anybody,She is really gentle.

Laurie Misner has led, picked up front feet, pett,and kissed Johnny Boy.
Johnny Loves to Lunge.

Krystle Misner has led, backed, picked up front feet, introduced to the saddle pad,and also kissed Reepicheep.
Reep LOVES to has his mane,and forlock brushed.

We filled out our application for the Extreme Mustang Makeover 2008/007 Mission Possible

200 saddle horses/200 yearlings

Received our notice that we were selected as competitors.

This is a financial commitment for our team members, they will only be reimbursed $200.00 if training a yearling, $500.00 if they are training a saddle horse. This reimbursement will cover the following expenses:

We will travel to the holding facilities in Palomino Valley, just outside of Reno, Nv.

We will return with an untouched wild mustang, we will have 100 days to understand, gentle, condition and prepare our random selected mustang for the competition of its life.

We will take our mustangs to Fort Worth to compete with 400 other trainers of all degrees of training ability.

These Mustangs will compete, then be put up for adoption at the last day of the competition. Starting bid will be $125.00.
